Sensor Systems collect data from which information is extracted to close the “Observe, Orient, Decide, Act” (OODA) loop. In a video-centric solution, information is extracted by the human operator. Autonomous Sensor Systems lower the user cognitive burden by automating extraction of information, often from multiple data sources. Unlike human operators, Autonomous Sensor Systems respond immediately, having limitless concentration and no need to eat and sleep. Overview’s Autonomous Sensor Systems optimise the OODA loop by using high performance video processing, minimising latency and incorporating true edge ML/AI, within the Sensor System without the need for centralised or cloud processing. Overview’s multispectral Sensor Systems integrate data from a variety of sensors such as optical, thermal, radar, location and ranging, processing the various data streams into actionable alerts. Whilst Autonomous Sensor Systems are focused on delivering digital information, they remain capable of delivering imagery and full motion video when the mission demands. The focus on multiple data sources and digital information enables faster, more accurate decision making, whilst lowering the cognitive burden on operators.
